Children's Department
Our Read to a Dog program provides a supportive environment to practice reading! Reading to trained therapy dogs helps develop literacy skills and builds confidence and self-esteem. Our canine friends are all wonderful, patient listeners who are looking forward to reading with you!Our listening teams are at the Library on Saturday mornings from 10:30 -11:30 in the Children's Department. Reading sessions last 15 minutes and are for children ages 5 and up.To register for a session, please call the Children's Department at 781-741-1405 ext. 1403. We hope you can join us!
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, so we're reading some books from some amazing AAPI authors this month! If that interests you, pick one of the 3 books below to read and come chat with us. Our YA librarian will also give participants a longer list of YA books by AAPI authors that she recommends. No registration is necessary, just drop in!
Calling all Anime enthusiasts! Anime Club is for teens who love Anime and Manga to meet other teens with the same interest. We'll talk Anime and Manga, watch some Anime, and maybe make some fun crafts. Open to teens in grades 6-12 - no prior knowledge needed, Anime newbies welcome! No registration required.
