In this program geared toward athletic coaches at all levels of sports, Dr. Matthew Raidbard will discuss the importance of coaches viewing themselves as leaders and making intentional leadership choices. This program is designed to introduce coaches to leadership practice, and to help them understand the impact their leadership choices can have both positively and negatively on the athletes they coach. This program is for coaches at all levels of sports but particularly youth sports coaches who are often parents or volunteers and have not had the opportunity to receive much if any coach-related leadership training. This event will be held on Zoom. To join us, please register online, and we will email you the link shortly before the program.
Come and hear a presentation by a member of the cranberry industry here in Massachusetts to coincide with the Hingham Library's hosting of "Rhapsody in Red: 200 Years of Massachusetts Cranberries" - a travelling exhibition on display in the library's lobby from 9/12 through 9/22. Jordan Trundy and his wife Equus run Red Meadow Farm in Carver, MA. This new, family owned, independent farming operation just completed its first full cranberry harvest in 2021. Jordan and Equus are working on expanding their operation to include a farm stand and apiary. They also hope to eventually start a small vineyard on their 17 acre property. Come hear Jordan talk about the history of the cranberry in Massachusetts and learn more about their experiences at Red Meadow Farm.
