Join us to hear speaker, Michele Schuckel, on the topic of "Winter in the Garden." Come hear how though winter is a quiet season for gardeners it is anything but for the plants and animals outside our windows. Learn about the seasonal survival techniques of the animals in our yards and woods, and the plants that best support them and provide us with four seasons of interest. This is a natural science-meets-garden design program, and sure to be entertaining and informational.All are welcome!

At 6,288, the tallest peak in the Northeastern United States, Mount Washington is called the “Home of the World’s Worst Weather”, but why? This program will explore the unique life and work of the weather observers stationed on Mt. Washington and learn why, for a mountain its size, Mount Washington hosts some of the worst weather on Earth.This program will be hosted by Francis Tarasiewicz, a Weather Observer/Education Specialist at Mount Washington Observatory.This event will be held on Zoom. Children and their caregivers will listen to entertaining books, sing songs and make a fun and simple craft. This imaginative Storytime quietly builds language skills and fosters literacy proficiency.Dates for this session are: September 19 and 26, and October 3 and 17.
