The Move & Groove Storytime is designed for children of various ages (5 and under) and their caregivers. Listen to fun stories, sing some songs, and move around in this fast-paced Storytime. Move & Groove is the perfect Storytime for young children who learn best when their brains and their bodies are active.Registration for this program session (October 27 and November 10) is full. Registration for, our next 4-week session will begin on November 13.

Students will learn the basics of play during this five-week series including how to set up the board, the rules of the game, understanding basic rule nuances such as castling, and the difference between checkmate and stalemate. Students will also begin to develop an understanding of fundamental chess principles and basic tactical ideas. This class is for elementary aged students as well as slightly older students who are interested in trying chess for the first time.This event will be held on Zoom. Teen Advisory Board is back! Teens from Grades 6-12 are invited to join us for Teen Advisory Board, a bimonthly meeting group where teens are encouraged to share their ideas and thoughts for the library and work together to keep making it a great place for our community. No registration necessary.
