  2. Virtual Make: Origami Strawberries

    June 24, 2021, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Watch on our YouTube channel.

    In this workshop you'll learn how to fold origami strawberries. You will also learn a marbling technique using sidewalk chalk as an option for your paper! Once you learn the folding process, you can fold several and arrange them in a basket for a tasty looking decoration.

    Materials Needed: Paper (red and green); Black marker; Sidewalk chalk (optional for paper marbling); Shallow container with water (optional for paper marbling); Butter knife or popsicle stick to scrape chalk (optional for paper marbling)

    The workshop will be posted on Thursday, June 24 at 7pm on our YouTube channel. You can participate at your convenience and watch as many times as you need!

    This month we're reading Long Bright River by Liz Moore. Copies of the book will be available to pick up at the Reference desk beginning June 7.

  4. Meet Leslie Badger! | Family Event

    Leslie Badger is Hingham's Animal Control Officer (ACO), and has been for ten years. Leslie will speak to families about the many hats she wears on a given day. She is called about stray animals (dogs, cats, iguanas!) as well as domestic and wild animal safety. Leslie was the 2016 recipient of the Animal Control Officer of the Year by the Rescue Tails Animal Rescue Organization.
