Jaclyn Jones appeared as a guest artist on WPAA-TV’s Music with Purpose show and premiered the 2021 Connecticut Guitar Festival’s Concerts and Conversation video series. She headlined at the 2020 Fall Guitar Weekend online festival as a solo and chamber artist, performed for special events like Leo Brouwer’s 80th Birthday Celebration Concert, and for societies such as the NJ Guitar & Mandolin Society and Connecticut Guitar Society.

She has also performed in numerous masterclasses for renowned musicians such as Oscar Ghiglia, Scott Tennant, Odair Assad, Antigoni Goni, Leo Brouwer, and the Brasil Duo.

Jones is a compassionate teacher with over ten years’ experience working with young beginners to aspiring professionals. Her teaching is featured as a three part series on Guitar Foundation of America’s GFAtv Episodes 20-22 and 26-28. She was a guest lecturer at the 2020 Fall Guitar Weekend, and at University of St. Joseph’s for a music history seminar.

Jaclyn received formal teacher training in the Suzuki Guitar Method and currently teaches online in her private studio as well as the following schools: the Music School at Sound Crossing, the Ethel Walker School, the Community School of the Arts, and Martocchio Music. She was a guest teacher running a Technique Workshop at Connecticut Guitar Society’s Guitar Day, founded the Grace Academy Guitar Department in Hartford, CT, and taught at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and Music & Arts.

She also enjoys volunteering in the community. She is an active Board Member of the Connecticut Guitar Society and has performed for patients at the Jefferson House of Hartford Hospital and the Hospital for Special Care. She founded the Simsbury Historical Society concert series and was the Music Director for two years. Ms. Jones plays a 2009 Smallman model by Chapman & Fisher Guitars.

The Hingham Library and the Boston Classical Guitar Society gratefully acknowledge the support of Coastal Heritage Bank for this season's concert series.
