Beyond the Books: A Celebration of the Hingham Public Library

Thanks to all who joined us on May 6th for a delightful evening of food, drink, and music under the tent on the Library lawn at the first Beyond The Books Celebration of the Hingham Public Library! Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time mingling with friends and fellow book lovers while listening to live music by Three At Home and enjoying crafted cocktails and artfully prepared hors d’oeuvres from Kate’s Table. The winning raffle tickets for three pack-your-bags travel experiences that were drawn that evening showed that the Library truly can take you anywhere, and the three lucky winners were Jon Burt, Anne Nicholas, and Julie Strehle.

All funds raised from the event go towards supporting the Hingham Public Library’s endowment which provides a critical and ongoing source of revenue for purchasing books and materials, as well as providing programs, lectures, and classes for children, teens, and adults of all ages in the community.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our generous sponsors who helped to make this event such a success. Lead sponsors for Beyond The Books include The Harold and Avis Goldstein Charitable Trust, Middleton & Company, Inc., Kathy & Richard Norman, and The Family of Edna S. English.
