    Most of us have used a search engine such as Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo, but how much do you know about how they work? And how do you decide which one to use? We’ll go over what a search engine even is (hint: it might not be what you think!), explain how search engines find answers to your questions, talk about internet privacy, and compare the top four search engines in the US.

  3. Make: Burlap and Buttons

    Come join Carol for a Valentine craft. We will be using burlap and buttons to make a cute heart design on a wooden white washed plaque. If you have a bunch of buttons, bring them in and we can use them for this craft. This is a simple craft, perfect for a beginner crafter!

    Now that colder weather is officially here, start cozy season off right and join HPL's Knitting Club! This club is open to any teen in grades 6-12, no experience necessary. However, please note that no formal teaching will occur at Knitting Club. The YA Librarian will be available for basic knitting questions and a quick tutorial on a basic knit/purl stitch. This is a space for any teen knitters, beginners or advanced, to gather and work on their knitting projects together. No registration is required.
