Cheryl West, Social Worker for the Town of Hingham, offers free drop-in office hours on Tuesdays from 10:00 - Noon in the Library's Fearing Room and is available from 8:30 - 4:30 on Wednesdays at the Town Hall. She can be reached by calling 781-804-2370. Cheryl is available to help with accessing emergency services (food, clothing, housing, and crisis support), education and employment, family matters, health improvement (including insurance and mental health concerns), and support groups for men, women, and teens.

Books On Tap meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Not Your Average Joe's in Norwell at 7:00 pm, and provides a fun and relaxed atmosphere for members to chat about books. Book choices focus on recent, fresh, and interesting reads. So come on down, grab a cocktail, and enjoy a literary night out! Books are available for pick-up at the reference desk two weeks before each meeting.

Storytime AND Dance! A fun morning that combines stories followed by Songs and Dance with Tracy Durso from Dance Along. Children and caregivers will be listening, singing and dancing in this lively class.

Barkology 101 is an interactive teaching session about dog behavior. Instructor Cathy Acampora will be accompanied by her certified pet therapy dog Merida. Cathy is an experienced dog handler who has a particular fondness for collies. She will interpret dog behaviors (action provided by Merida!) that signal what they like and do not like. Topics include dog body language, dog etiquette, training, and breed questions. Cathy is the author of “A Dog for Me” and “Please Don’t Hug Me”. Copies of Cathy’s book will be available for purchase. This is a drop-in program for children ages 8 to 13. This program is made possible by the Plymouth County Extension 4-H.
