This demo class will feature student performances along with a lesson demonstration with Suzuki Guitar students. In addition to observing, participants will get to interact with group class activities centered around the guitar as well as having an opportunity to hold and play a guitar. Ages recommended are 4-6.
Suzuki method lessons are designed to tap into certain ways that very young children learn best. They are taught initially by rote and by ear and a parent assists in lessons and practice to help reinforce and model for the child. The approach is built to parallel language learning which is something that every child can do and so the philosophy of Suzuki includes the idea that every child is musical if given an environment that fosters their musical growth. This program requires registration. Please register online or by calling 781-741-1405 ext. 1403.
