Through interviews with former players, coaches, officials and fans, Bruce has captured the passion that people have for college hockey . He presents their perspectives in a series of essays focused on men’s Division 1 college hockey that range from team camaraderie and leadership to how officials approach calling a game. Coaches talk about their role in developing young men, former players tell what it was like to win the NCAA tournament, and fans provide stories and insights on why they love the game so much. In Great Game! Haas gives readers a variety of perspectives on a sport in a way few books have done before.
