    Health care advocate and attorney, Patricia Stewart, will offer a workshop on the recent Massachusetts health-care law (MOLST) which mandates that terminally ill patients receive information and counseling on palliative care and end-of-life options.     Books, Bounces, and rhythmic activity ensure that this engaging Storytime for babies (0 to 14 months) and their caregivers is the perfect environment for building your baby’s foundation for lifelong reading. Babies will be introduced to familiar rhymes and songs as well as the opportunity to mingle with other babies and their caregivers. Following the program, families are invited to socialize and play with library’s collection of toys.

  2. Introducing Read-to-a-Dog on Half Day Wednesday! Taco ( a Labrador) and his partner Michelle will be our Wednesday listening team!

    Our Read to a Dog program provides a supportive environment to practice reading! Reading to trained therapy dogs helps develop literacy skills and builds confidence and self-esteem. Our canine friends are all wonderful, patient listeners who are looking forward to reading with you!

    The program takes place each Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30. Reading sessions last 15 minutes and are for children ages 5 and up. Please reserve a spot by calling the Children's Department at 781-741-1405 ext. 1403.
