View the world in 3D, take digital tours of famous landmarks, and use map data from across the globe to play games. Books, Bounces, and rhythmic activity ensure that this engaging Storytime for babies (0 to 14 months) and their caregivers is the perfect environment for building your baby’s foundation for lifelong reading. Babies will be introduced to familiar rhymes and songs as well as the opportunity to mingle with other babies and their caregivers. Following the program, families are invited to socialize and play with the library’s collection of toys.

Katherine Steivater presents Gap Year Solutions! Stievater will discuss Gap Years for both high school and college students and whether the experience is right for you or your child. No registration necessary - late arrivals welcome. Questions welcome at the end. Light refreshments will be served. Stievater founded Gap Year Solutions because she feels strongly that many high school students and some college students could benefit from taking a step off the typical path, and become more self-reliant and confident through real world learning. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, with over twelve years of experience as an alumni interviewer for prospective students. Her oldest son spent his junior year of high school in Spain. Katherine is a Member of the Advisory Board and Standards & Accreditation Committee of the Gap Year Association, is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and a Keynote speaker for USA Gap Year Fairs
