    Welcome to all things STEAM! … We will be celebrating science this summer at the library through our series, STEAM with MARY ELLEN. Each program will include: a story; a group re-telling of the story with discussion of the science in the story; and a hands-on activity related to the session’s topic. | Wed. Jul. 11: “S” is SCIENCE…Excellent Explosions! Chemical reactions |Wed. Jul.18: “T” is TECHNOLOGY … robots & coding | Tue. Jul.24: “E” is ENGINEERING … strength and materials with the Three Little Pigs | Wed. Aug. 01: “A” is ART … milk art | Aug. 07: “M” is MATH … racing cars (measure velocity) and design a project on a budget (math skills).

  1. Bucket Band Workshop for Teens

    July 24, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Whiton Room

    South Shore Conservatory presents a percussion class for teens! The workshop will introduce basic rhythm and percussion skills using pails, buckets, etc. Jesse Stiglich, percussion teacher at South Shore Conservatory, will lead this fun workshop. No experience necessary!
