    Join the HPL for Books On Tap, our newest adult book club! It will meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Liberty Grille in Downtown Hingham at 7:00 pm and will provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere for members to chat about books. Book choices will focus on recent, fresh, and interesting reads. So come on down, grab a cocktail, and enjoy a literary night out! Books will be available for pick-up at the reference desk two weeks before each meeting. This month's book pick is Mrs. Fletcher by Tom Perrotta.

  2. Begin a Field Guide at the Hingham Public LIbrary

    Field guides are special kinds of books, usually one that can fit into a pocket, designed specifically to help us, alone or with others, identify things outdoor. Children will listen to the book, “Out of School and Into Nature: The Anna Comstock Story" by Suzanne Slade. Following the reading the children will receive a blank field guide book to use (and keep) as they first visit and then record their observations of nature in the Niles Garden at the library. ages 7+, drop-in event

  3. South Shore Conservatory Demonstration Class: Discovering Music, ages 4 to 6, registration

    July 10, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Whiton Room

    Discovering Music class allows children ages 4-6 to explore the world of music by making music. Students move, sing and play percussion instruments. This class is a great choice for students who love music, are considering lessons or as a companion to private instruction. Space is limited; Registration opens Jun. 25
