    Stephanie Chase is an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, entertainer and crafts person. As MAMASTEPH she is a popular performer who has a vast and loyal audience throughout the South Shore. She has four cd’s to her credit. They are "Simply Mamasteph", "There's A Little Light", “Mamasteph: A Family Christmas Album" and her most recent “Little Mouse, Little House” released in 2017. Copies of her cd’s are available for checkout at the library. Suitable for young children and their grownups! Please join us for a magical musical morning.

  2. Read to Salty! a certified listening dog

    READ TO SALTY! – A THERAPY DOG | Salty and Christina are established members of our Read to A Dog teams. Salty is a 14-year-old Chihuahua who is a gentle patient listener and a certified therapy dog. Salty listening dates for 2018 are November 17, November 24 and December 08. He will be available for 15 minute sessions on his “listening” days. *Please call the Children’s and Young Adult Department to register for your preferred sitting. Suitable for kids age 5 and up.

  1. Tarot Workshop for Teens!

    November 17, 2018, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ Whiton Room

    This hands-on tarot workshop with Sally Cragin includes the history of this unique art form and its practices. Students will learn the rudiments of the four suits, the significance of the numbers and the interpretation of “Major Arcana” cards. Discussion encouraged!

    We will practice some simple readings, then move on to more complex readings. We use the Ryder-Waite deck, designed by Pamela Colman-Smith for in-class readings. Beginners welcome!
