  1. Make: Dream Big Canvas Painting

    Join Hingham Public Library's resident artists Carol and Jenn for their monthly workshops. This month will be their first ever step by step canvas painting project! The finished painting will be a dreamy night sky scene. All materials will be provided.

    Read to Hope! – A trained therapy dog | Reading to trained therapy dogs helps develop literacy skills and builds confidence as well as self-esteem. Keep your reading skills sharp by reading to Hope. She is a friendly 7 year old Cocker Spaniel with several years of “listening” under her belt. She will available for 15 minute sessions on her “listening” days. Her 2018 sessions will be Nov. 10 and December 15. *Please call the Children’s and Young Adult Department to register for your preferred sitting. Suitable for kids age 5 and up.

    All teens in grades 6 and up welcome! Drop-in event. New members are always welcome! We meet once a month on a Saturday to discuss that months books and chat over snacks. Library copies of the book will be made available at the children's desk.
