    October's Topic: Thunder & Lightning

    Saturday Science is back for it’s third year and this time, It’s Alive! This year’s program features the vibrant and dynamic nature of the sciences, tailored to two elementary school-age groups (K-2 and 3-5. Age limits are strictly enforced to ensure a positive experience for all children.)

    Saturday Science sessions expose kids to different scientific fields and the leading female scientists in those fields. Each session includes a hands-on experiment or craft activity. The Saturday Science team was founded by Foster Elementary School parents Sonia Steele and Dr. Katie McBrine, and the team has expanded to include local parents Marie Bohane (Plymouth River Elementary), Lauren Gadot (East School), and Cassie Saitow (Hull).

    "Bat and the Waiting Game" by Elana K. Arnold When Bat's older sister Janie gets a part in the school play, and can't watch him after school, it means some pretty big changes. For one, someone else will have to take care of the skunk kit in the afternoons. | This is a parent/guardian & child book group for children in 2nd & 3rd grade. Library copies of the book will be available at the children’s desk for participants about one month prior to the meeting date.
