Author and historian Eamon McCarthy Earls will speak about his book Cold War New England. This free event will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions, speak with the author directly, and purchase a signed copy of the book. A visual presentation will accompany the talk.
Earls set out to uncover the rich history of the Northeast region’s contributions to the Cold War. His research culminated in the book Cold War New England: How One Region Fought to Keep the Cold War from Getting Hot published in 2016. Spread across the entire region, Earls paints a portrait of the Cold War as seen through our own backyard and illustrates how the many contributions of this area both affected the war itself, and are still seen today.
