Topic: Chemistry| Featured Scientist: Dorothy Hodgkin| Guest Speaker: TBA | Activity/Craft: Experimenting with baking soda and with assorted candies in cola soda. The Saturday in Science...Beyond Einstein" program is the brainchild of two Hingham moms. Their goal is to introduce kids to science with an emphasis on women and minority contributors. Format will be a brief introduction to the "featured" scientist followed by hands on craft or activity. For children ages K -3. Reservations are necessary for materials planning and are class specific. Parent/guardian must remain in the children's department while the child participates in the program.

Keep your reading skills sharp by reading to Dash, a 5-year-old Great Dane. He is a certified reading and therapy dog. Dash will be at the library on listed Saturdays. He will be available for 15 minute sessions on his “listening” days. *Please call the Children’s and Young Adult Department to register for your preferred sitting. Suitable for kids age 4 and up.
