October is the season for suspense and horror movies, so what could be better than a little Alfred Hitchcock?! Join us at the library for one of Hitchcock's greatest suspense films, Rear Window. Starring James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Thelma Ritter, and Raymond Burr, it's the story of L.B. Jefferies (James Stewart), a New York magazine photographer who is confined to his apartment after breaking his leg. The summer heat is sweltering, and he passes the time by watching his neighbors from his window. He also spends a lot of time flirting and debating his future with his girlfriend, Lisa (Grace Kelly), at least until something suspicious occurs in the apartment across the courtyard, and he begins to believe something sinister has taken place. This is truly one of the greatest films ever made, with exceptional cinematography, music, and one of Stewart's best performances. Don't miss this legendary film!
