    All teens are welcome to join our new Anime & Manga Club! Each meeting, members will get to talk about anime and manga with fellow enthusiasts. Each time, there will be a small craft and snack and we will watch one episode of an anime show - decided by group vote - via Crunchyroll. Registration not required.

  3. Teen Book Group: Leah on the Offbeat

    All teens entering grades 6 and up welcome! Drop-in event. New members are always welcome! We meet twice a month throughout the summer and will discuss that meeting's book – Leah on the Offbeat, by Becky Albertalli - and chat over snacks. Library copies of the book will be made available at the children's desk. In honor of Pride Month, our YA librarian will also be bringing her favorite LGBTQIA+ YA books to the meeting, and invites any teens to come who just want to talk about their own LGBTQIA+ book faves - even if you haven't read the chosen book!

  4. Rhode Island Computer Museum Workshop: Smart Robots for Tomorrow's Building, ages 12+

    “SMART ROBOTS for Tomorrow’s Building" This workshop aims to explain basic concepts of robotics. Working in teams, students will learn coding to instruct a simple robot to move objects in construction challenges. This is a hands on workshop using a Raspberry PI. The Pi programming environment allows you to do many things with a tiny credit-card-sized computer! You will also learn about programmable electronics for making motors run and a lot more. The set-up is easy for beginners, challenging for experienced programmers and fun for everyone! This workshop is ages 12+.

  5. Pop Up Art: Manga Face Drawing

    Draw a manga face three different ways, from somewhat realistic to an exaggerated manga style! Emphasis will be on the different proportions used in the many styles of manga. Drawing the face three times increases confidence through repetition. Come have some manga fun! For teens entering grades 6 and up. Registration needed.
