    An old red oak tree tells how he and his crow friend Bongo help their human neighbors get along after a threat against an immigrant family is carved into the tree's trunk.   8. Build-A-Book|ages 5+

    June 24, 2019, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM @ Activity Room

    Be the author and illustrator of your own book! In this DIY activity, children can use their natural creativity to invent a story or express themselves by telling a story about their own experiences. Child and parent/caregiver will work together to create a unique keepsake. We will provide the template and you will bring it alive with your cover art, words and illustrations. Run out of time…finish it at home. Option: Bring your finished book to the library for others to check out and read. This is a drop-in event.

  11. South Shore Conservatory: Instrument Exploration | Ages 8-12

    Venture with us into the universe of musical instruments!! Students ages 8 to 12 are invited to try out instruments in the woodwind, string and brass families. Join us for this interactive learning experience where students get a chance to hear about and play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and violin.
