Mindful Yoga for Everyone is a sixty-minute yoga practice offering a gentle mix of Hatha yoga based styles including breathwork and meditation to stimulate the energy systems in the body, while at the same time bringing calm and peace to the mind.
Hingham resident, Paula McCree, will lead the class. Paula is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 Basic Hatha and Pranotthan, Reiki Level 1 with nine years of teaching experience. She integrates mindfulness practices based on the 7 Attitudes of Mindfulness according to Jon Kabat-Zinn throughout her classes to facilitate the connection of the mind, breath, body and spirit.
All levels welcome, with a focus on beginners and advanced beginners. All you need is an open mind, yoga mat, towel or blanket (to roll for support as needed), and water.
This is a 4 week class, and registration signs you up for all four classes: Thursdays, January 9, 16, 23, 30 from 6:30-7:30.
