Summer Reading: Farm to Table

The Hingham Library's adult summer reading program celebrates "Farm to Table" this year! Our book display to the right of the circulation desk is full of great reads and information! Pick up a BINGO card at the main desk and once you've marked five in a row you'll be entered in our bi-monthly raffle drawing! Then, grab another card and play again! Also, throughout the summer, collect business cards from farms, farm stands, or farmers market vendors, and bring them to the Library to exchange for raffle tickets. (Limit of 5 raffle tickets per week!)

Raffled items will be various goods from the Hingham Farmers Market including honey, jam, pottery, wine, and gift certificates to local farms! Four raffle drawings will be held on the following days: July 13th, July 26th, August 10th, August 24th, and the grand prize will be drawn on August 31st. Stop by the main desk with any questions or to get started. We're looking forward to a delicious summer!

Additionally the Library is offering several farm and food themed programs throughout the summer including a composting workshop with Master Urban Gardener, Janice McPhillips; tours of Hornstra Farm in Norwell; and a talk by organic gardener, Ron Maribett who will help demystify food buzz words.
