Evening With the Author: Jane Gilmartin presents The Mirror Man

The Library is pleased to welcome local author, Jane Gilmartin, and her debut novel The Mirror Man. When ViMed Pharmaceuticals asks Jeremiah to be part of an illegal cloning experiment, he sees it as a break from his disconnected existence. No one will know he’s been replaced, since a revolutionary drug will transfer his consciousness to his copy, but as he watches “his” life spiral out of control, Jeremiah must find the courage to face himself head-on!

Jane worked on this novel as part of a writing group, so she'll also have a conversation with fellow member Leanna Hamill about the ways a writing group can help improve a novel through careful reading, and provide support on the difficult path toward landing a literary agent.

Jane Gilmartin has been a news reporter and editor for several small-town papers and enjoyed a brief but exciting stint as a rock music journalist. A bucket list review just before she turned 50 set her on the path to fiction writing.
