Evening With the Author: Erica Ferencik presents "A Night in the Amazon"
Thursday, October 22, 2020
Erica's fascinating presentation surrounds research she conducted for her novel Into the Jungle, a NYT pick for one of 2019's best thrillers of the summer. She spent the month of July, 2017 in the Peruvian rainforest, taking hundreds of photos and videos of the fascinating plants, animals and people of the rainforest, and will share some of these images and the stories around them. Erica says, "The research was fun but not always easy. For much of the time, I felt some level of apprehension. I had to develop ways of dealing with it just to get on the little prop plane, the dugout canoe, the helicopter, you name it, but my desire to research the books always trumped my fear."
