    Are you looking for something good to read? Is your list of recommended books so long you just don’t know where to start? If you’re like the rest of us, you tend to read the same authors and styles over and over again. So come to the Hingham Public Library on Saturday, February 23rd at 11 am to get a few new ideas through our annual discussion of some of the great books of 2018!

    Peter Thornell, Collection Development Librarian and Readers’ Advisor, will present numerous titles from several different genres of both fiction and non-fiction. Those attending are always welcome to share their thoughts on their own list of “must read” titles. Refreshments will be available.

    Our Read to a Dog program provides a supportive environment to practice reading! Reading to trained therapy dogs helps develop literacy skills and builds confidence and self-esteem. Our canine friends are all wonderful, patient listeners who are looking forward to reading with you!

    The program takes place each Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30. Reading sessions last 15 minutes and are for children ages 5 and up. Please reserve a spot by calling the Children's Department at 781-741-1405 ext. 1403.
